We're committed to making a positive impact on the lives of our children
was founded with a clear goal:
To protect, preserve and promote the rights of our children for the benefit of humanity.
Every action we take, every creative campaign we design & execute, our organization has this objective at the forefront of our hearts and minds.
Rather than solely raising awareness, our primary objective is focused solely on taking actions that advance a solution based approach to our children’s rights being marginalized and violated.
Our Non-violent direct action activities range from taking legal actions against individuals or organizations, grassroots campaigning, moderated free speech debates, TRC hearings, and creative campaigns that challenge the status quo of our children’s rights being marginalized by the Family Courts and their affiliated systems.
When a child is harmed, that abuse has a far reaching and a debilitating effect on many people, not just on the child and the immediate caregivers of the child. That is because we innately know that a child is innocent and may not have the opportunity to champion their own causes.
They may not have the opportunity nor the understanding to even communicate the harm being done to them.
So when a child is harmed, communities get negatively impacted as an overall faith in our own humanity diminishes.
We question: Who would harm a child? And sometimes we ignore the answer.
Usually, but not always, those who were harmed as children repeat the cycle. So what is the solution?
OCMM hosts healing circles regularly as part of our Shanti Walks, TRC hearings and anytime a group requests us to do so. Healing circles are safe community gatherings where we guide the participants in transmuting their pain into joy.
We integrate movement therapy and other healing modalities for the purpose of healing our own inner wounded child first. That’s how we begin truly healing the world.
Our healing circles are non-religious. We welcome people from all backgrounds.
Contact us if you would like to co-host a healing circle.
Conference mediation (often simply called mediation in Texas family courts) is a proven form of alternative dispute resolution under the Texas Family Code.

Shanti (Peace) Walkers make a huge impact by walking several miles in different cities raising awareness and communicating with lawmakers about the much needed change needed in our dysfunctional Family Court system.
Current divorce rates as per NVSS (National Vital Statistics Systems) is 44.2% so this is an issue that effects most of us.

Riti Chikkerur was invited to "Slam the Gavel" podcast with Mary Ann Petri to discuss an OCMM action plan to reform Family Courts.
Shanti (meaning peace) walk is a non violent direct action campaign where volunteers and supporters can walk for several miles, raise awareness and give our children a voice where it is needed most. After completing two successful Shanti Walks in Texas and California, OCMM has proven that our communities are committed to addressing the urgent need for our children’s voices to be heard in overall advocacy work.
